In March 1998 we took over Casa Valdez, having previously visited the restaurant  as customers, and enjoyed this vibey little eatery with its colourful and rustic décor, informal atmosphere and it’s Portuguese character.

 

The two of us originally met at Johannesburg Hotel School, and through our through training and knowledge, turned Casa Valdez into an ever popular venue, whether it be for a family birthday, reunion or informal marriage celebration. And of course the Thursday music evenings remain legendary.

 

Our team includes Kitchen Manager Richard Ntsikalo (23 years  service), Emanual Balantino, Head Griller (11 years service), Gerard Ntloko, Junior Griller (6 years service) , Thandiswa (Pretty) Mkontwana, Cleaner (23 years service),  Aletti  Olwanda, Cleaner (5 years service), Zandi Welem, Cleaner(3 years service) , Andiswa Mtini, Cleaner (1,5 years service).
